We’re Not Dead! Posted on August 30th
So yeah, in that last post I promised to update more frequently, but I guess I lied. Sorry about that. But to update whoever still visits this site, here’s the latest on our production team and the film itself.
The majority of the Wheeler team graduated together on May 26th and are now out and about in the real world working on bigger productions that actually pay. Just this past month many members of the Wheeler crew reunited to help out on the production of a local short film. I can’t give away any details other than to say it was an awesome experience to work with these guys again.
Now I’m sure many of you are thinking “good for you guys, but I want my Wheeler, dammit!!” Don’t worry. We have not given up on Wheeler. Although the editing process has taken much longer than originally anticipated, we have made a lot of progress. At this time we are almost finished with episode 1 color correction and will finally begin sound in a week or two. As of yesterday we have a locked picture for episode 2, which is now ready for color and sound. Episode 3 is still in the cutting room, but is more than half completed. I would like to say that episode 3 will be locked within the next two weeks, but you can’t hold us to that. So yeah, although it seems like we’ve forgotten about the project, we haven’t. We’ve just been busy with graduating, moving, and working on other productions. We thank you for your patience in these matters.
Oh, and before I end this post I thought I’d mention that nobody is buying our merchandise. This makes us a little sad, as we were hoping to recoup some of our costs for the Wheeler production. I know a couple of the items might seem a little pricey, but don’t think of it as paying a little more for some stickers, think of it as making a much-needed donation to the hard-working filmmakers we all love and adore (us). Also, in case there’s just not enough selection for some of you, we are hoping to come up with some new designs and products soon.
Anyway, thanks for sticking with us, and we’ll certainly try to keep you more informed as we continue to make progress on Wheeler!
